Art Studios for Rent this summer
+
new art building coming this fall:

$285 - medium shared studio
Half of a large studio on the 2nd floor, shared with one other artist. The available section is 12x16 feet for $285/mo (inclusive). All 3 photos below show views of the available portion, (it's actually a little larger than it looks here). Available in August.

$395 - private studio
We also have a roomy private space opening up this summer, also on the 2nd floor. The size is 16 x 17 ft, with an open beam ceiling at about 10 ft. As you can see, the window looks at a brick wall - but you can see a sliver of sky, and the window opens. Available in August.

other studios for rent new art building coming this fall:
We're developing a new art studio building this fall in the I.D. a few blocks from Pioneer Square (SW corner of S. Main & 6th Ave. S, by Maneki & the Panama Hotel). We're taking over the entire 2nd floor, and building out 15 small studios, (150 to 360 sq ft). Each one will have plenty of natural light (window or skylight), great ceiling height (nearly 12 ft), plus built-in ventilation fans in every room. Prices range from $295 to $675, with most somewhere in between, depending on size.

At this point it looks like the building should be ready sometime in November, but I can start showing artists around as soon as they have it framed out. Some of the artists at 1426 are moving to the new building, so we'll have studios available in both locations. If you're interested in either building send me an email and I'll get in touch when we have something ready to show you.

please include:
- your name & best contact phone number
- type of materials you work with (oil, acrylic, etc)
- minimum amount of space you need
- maximum rent you can handle
- when do you need a studio/how long can you wait

Jackson St. Studios is an active artist building in Seattle (International District), 1 mile from downtown Pioneer Square. The building has 3 floors of studios, approx. 30 artists with private spaces, plus artists using the membership darkroom. We have one or two open house events per year which are very well attended, so there are good opportunities for your work to be seen by the public. You also have access to art services being offered by other artists in the building, such as classes, slide documentation, framing, and web site design.

* NNN (triple net) is a term used in commerical leases, refering to additional fees that are often charged separately on top of the rent. These fees include a share of property taxes, building insurance, and water/sewer. You always want to ask about NNN fees when renting a studio, because they can be a lot more than you may expect, and they can be increased with no warning. NNN fees are included in the rent for our building, so there are no surprises.
